Orbitz Taps Prism To Enhance Business Reporting
Orbitz for Business today announced a partnership with travel information service provider Prism Inc. to enhance its reporting and data-tracking tool for corporate customers.
Immediately available to its entire client base at no extra cost, the tool builds on Orbitz's homegrown reporting tool by adding functionality from Prism--a company that has a history of providing data management tools for corporate travel managers, such as Travel Manager's Workstation and Avion.
"We've always provided a reporting function out of our data warehouse on a monthly basis that travel managers could import into travel management analytic tools," said Dave Cerino, general manager of Orbitz for Business. "With Prism, we took the next step. Now, we provide not only data but a number of canned reports on a daily basis." Such daily "canned" offerings available immediately include: origin and destination reports, daily supplier reports and the ability to break down information by employee, cost center and division number.
While Orbitz said daily reporting is the first major addition to come from the partnership, within the next month the companies will continue to integrate enhanced functionality into the Orbitz for Business site, including a more customizable option for clients to slice and dice reports through the Orbitz site.
