Hertz reported a $242.9 million third-quarter net profit, up from $206.7 million for the same period in 2011.
The company reported record third-quarter worldwide rental car revenues, which were up 2 percent from the 2011 third quarter. Transaction days increased 3.4 percent year over year, though rental rate revenue per transaction day declined 2.6 percent.
