Delta Air Lines reported a $1.37 billion net profit for the three months ending Sept. 30, up from $1.05 billion in the prior-year period.
Total passenger revenue rose 6.7 percent year over year, with passenger unit revenue up 4 percent. Delta's yield, representing fare per mile, rose 4.5 percent from the prior-year period. Traffic rose 2.1 percent on 2.6 percent additional capacity.
