Delta Air Lines on Friday expanded its policy allowing use of portable electronic devices from gate to gate to include international flights.

Travelers now can use mobile phones, e-readers and tablets in airplane mode on all flights, as they have on Delta domestic flights since late last year. All Delta and Delta Connection aircraft have completed "carrier-defined PED tolerance testing" on use of the devices during taxi, takeoff and landing, according to the company.
