2012
announced a global alliance with fellow online booking providers nuTravel
and KDS, with its gamification and hotel geocoding systems identified as
intellectual property that could be shared among the partners. According
to
Stuff, Serko claims that its Serko Online booking tool is the
marketshare leader in the Asia/Pacific region, including an overall 60
percent share in Australia.
Stuff reported that Serko aims to float
25 percent of its shares "to raise NZ$20 million of expansion and
R&D capital."
