Cornerstone Information Systems teamed with venture capital firm Sproutbox to identify "the next great travel technology."

The partnership includes a new "travel technology accelerator" dubbed RunUp Labs. Focused on "applications that enhance and improve the travel experience," RunUp Labs will offer a 10-week mentoring program for start-ups, with an initial session expected to kick off in spring 2013. "Some of the best ideas we've seen have been travel-related, but the industry is so complex that our technology and product expertise simply wasn't enough," according to SproutBox co-founder Brad Wisler. "That is where Cornerstone comes in."
