CWT Names New EMEA, Latin America Head

Carlson Wagonlit Travel today named Håkan Ericson as president of CWT in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America, effective Jan. 28. Ericson replaces regional COO Richard Lovell, who plans to retire in March.

Ericson is a newcomer to the travel management industry, as he most recently served as CEO of Sweden-based cash-handling services company Loomis, following executive stints at DHL Europe and Scandinavian Airlines.

Ericson will report directly to CEO Hubert Joly and be based in CWT's Paris office. "He will bring significant international experience and an impressive track record to Carlson Wagonlit Travel," Joly said. "In his previous positions, he successfully drove sales and marketing initiatives, integrated acquisitions and increased revenues and profits."
