Alaska Air Group reported a $44 million fourth-quarter net profit,
down from $64 million for the 2011 December quarter. Total passenger revenue grew 9 percent year over year, with traffic up nearly 9 percent and passenger yield, a representation of fare per mile, flat. The group includes Alaska Airlines and regional carrier Horizon Air.
