The Series D financing will be used to "scale our efforts on all fronts—from technical development to sales and marketing," according to president and CEO James Filsinger. The company identified Amadeus as the leader of the financing round and noted that Concur also participated as part of its Perfect Trip Fund. Concur in July led
a previous round of Series D financing that brought Yapta $4.2 million and in 2011
invested $5 million into the company. Yapta claims to have amassed overall total financing in excess of $20 million. "Yapta's airfare price-tracking technology is having a real impact on travel procurement practices by enabling corporate travel organizations to get a better handle on fluctuating airfare prices and to drastically cut costs," according to a statement attributed to Katherine Grass, head of Amadeus Ventures. Carlson Wagonlit Travel on Tuesday announced that it had become the latest corporate travel management company to
partner with Yapta for its patent-pending FareIQ technology.
