Continuing its buying spree from 2019, the Berlin-based Spacebase, a global platform for meeting and event space rentals, has acquired MICE Service GmbH. MICE Service GmbH had been part of the MICE Service Group, which has additional arms in Austria and Switzerland. Spacebase will take over the German division's operations, while the Austrian and Swiss divisions will operate separately, yet still work closely with the German team, according to the company.
MICE Service GmbH organizes more than 5,000 large-scale events each year for corporate clients, according to Spacebase. Its 50-person team will locate to the Spacebase campus in Berlin Kreuzberg. The companies did not release financial terms of the agreement.
Spacebase has a portfolio of more than 5,000 meeting and event spaces worldwide. It acquired Eventsofa in April 2019, which doubled Spacebase's portfolio, and Okanda in September 2019.
