Meeting and events specialist MGME, part of
host travel agency InteleTravel, has acquired San Francisco-based Key Meetings
& Events for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition will double MGME's revenue
and employee base, the agency said. Key Meetings & Events founder Heather
Keenan will join MGME's senior leadership as executive director.
Key Meetings & Events manages more than
40 events annually across North America and internationally. The agency focuses
on the financial services, technology and private equity sectors and will
retain its brand, operating as "Key Meetings & Events, an MGME company."
Clients will "continue working with
the team they know" while gaining access to MGME’s hotel sourcing solution,
group travel services, creative and event production offerings, and strategic meetings
management consulting services, according to an MGME statement.
"Key Meetings & Events is exactly
the kind of business we want to bring into MGME," said MGME president and
CEO Carvie Gillikin. "Heather and her team have built an exceptional
company with outstanding client relationships and a decades-long track record
of delivering at a high level. Their expertise and high-touch approach are a
natural fit with MGME, and we're excited about what we can build together for
our clients and our people."
The acquisition marks MGME's first since
joining the InteleTravel portfolio in 2024.
