Kevin Iwamoto to Leave Role at Lanyon
Lanyon vice president of industry strategy Kevin Iwamoto
will retire from his role, effective April 30. Iwamoto joined StarCite,
now Lanyon, in 2008, after 11 years managing travel and meetings at
Hewlett-Packard. He served as president and CEO of the National Business Travel
Association, now the Global Business Travel Association, and chairman of the
NBTA Foundation, now the GBTA Foundation, from 2001 to 2003. Iwamoto is widely
recognized as a foremost expert in strategic meetings management, has written a
book on the practice, served on the Meeting Professionals International
Foundation Council and serves on Business Travel News' editorial advisory
board. In a Facebook message posted after the announcement, Iwamoto said he
will be "selectively involved in various projects."
