Dream Hotel Group will offer a 12 percent commission to qualified groups and meetings "booked and actualized" during 2018. The move follows decisions by Marriott International and Hilton to cut group and meetings commissions to 7 percent in the U.S. and Canada. "The decision to increase group commissions demonstrates Dream Hotel Group's commitment to supporting and maintaining a mutually beneficial partnership with third-party planners, particularly independent event organizers, with whom we have built long-standing relationships," said CEO Jay Stein. The deal, available at its Dream Hotels, Time Hotels and Unscripted Hotels properties in New York, California, Florida, North Carolina and Thailand, ends on Dec. 31, 2018, and requires a minimum of 10 rooms during the peak night.
