Meetings industry expert Kevin Iwamoto has joined emerging meetings platform Bizly as chief strategy officer, vacating his consulting position at GoldSpring Consulting, which has been taken up by former CWT M&E executive Cindy Fisher. Iwamoto is a marquee name in strategic meetings management. He was an early SMM practitioner as a travel manager at Hewlett-Packard, moving on to executive roles at Starcite, Active Network and Lanyon. He was the president & CEO of the National Business Travel Association, now the Global Business Travel Association, from 2001 to 2003. He continues to be in high demand as a speaker at industry events, including the Association of Corporate Travel Executives, the Business Travel Show and GBTA.
