Amex Meetings & Events Launches Pharma Meetings App

American Express Meeting & Events rolled out the HCP Mobile Connect app this week. Powered by mobile event technology firm DoubleDutch, the app addresses transparency and data-management for global pharmaceutical events. It allows companies to track event attendance of healthcare providers electronically, manage messaging and document and report associated “transfer of value"—like coverage of travel costs or event fees—to HCPs. The launch coincides with a stricter European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations transparency code for pharmaceutical and medical meetings that went into effect on Jan. 1. The app is customizable to support multiple languages and country-specific regulatory requirements.
