Associated Luxury Hotels International, a sales and marketing
organization for more than 250 luxury and upper-upscale hotels and resorts
worldwide, has opened its first sales office in Europe. Located in London, the
operation will focus on meetings, incentives, congresses and exhibitions. Peter
Groom, former director of global accounts for Fairmont Raffles Hotels
International, will serve as ALHI's executive director of global sales, a new
role for the organization. FRHI’s Mark Sergot recently defected
to ALHI as chief sales officer; he also leads sales for ALHI. Groom will be
based in the new London office.
