Navan has added travel and expense management capabilities in Slack, additional currencies for local card issuing with Navan Payment and a new guest expense management offering, the company announced on Thursday.
Within the Slack collaboration software, Navan users can now search, book and manage travel, finding options for a trip and getting a confirmed itinerary within the same Slack thread, according to Navan. Travel managers also can access data insights on their program in a conversational manner via Slack.
The addition of Slack builds on Navan's "Navan Anywhere" approach, with integrations with Google Cloud Marketplace and Gemini Enterprise announced earlier this year.
Navan additionally announced that its Navan Payments offering has added local card issuing support for five currencies: Australian dollars, Canadian dollars, Danish kroner, Swedish kronor and Polish zloty. Navan said its issuing currencies around the world now total 15 with those additions.
On the expense side, Navan announced a new Guest Expenses offering will be rolling out in the coming months. That will allow companies to invite non-employees to submit expenses and track reimbursements from Navan, as companies can set policies and receive reporting around those expenses.
Other expense features on the way include prompting to travelers via SMS to submit missing receipts or provide information as well as a video-and-voice feature for receipt submission, with which travelers can take a video of a receipt and describe it aloud as Navan captures the data and completes expense fields, the company said.
