Talma Travel Solutions has named airline industry veteran Nick Bettles as CEO of its new Talma U.K. division, built from several of the global travel organization's acquisitions over the past several years.
Bettles most recently was a sales and partnerships leader with events organizer RX Global, and prior to that he worked with Virgin Atlantic, Cathay Pacific and Etihad Airways. He now leads Talma U.K., which consists of Blue Cube Travel, which Talma acquired last year; Talma EMEA, built from Talma's acquisition of Norad Travel Group; and leisure agency Howard Travel.
"The opportunity to bring together respected names … under the Talma global group was an unparalleled and compelling opportunity," Bettles said in a statement. "With continued integration, sharper focus, and unified leadership, we plan to disrupt the market at a time it needs it the most."
Talma has been growing globally through mergers and acquisitions over the past several years, including taking a majority stake in U.S.-based Solutions Travel earlier this year.
