Australia-based
Corporate Travel Management has tapped Mary Ellen (George) Hess as EVP sales
and marketing for North America, a newly created position aimed at growing the
company's North American account base and advancing CTM's position as a leading
travel management company in the region.
Hess brings
to CTM more than 30 years of experience, primarily in agency sales and business
development. She served on HRG's executive committee leading the North America
commercial team; she held a global business development role with American
Express Global Business Travel and served on BCD Travel's global management board
in general management, consulting and sales leadership roles. For the last
three years she headed up the North America strategy and business for Tramada
Systems, a TMC technology platform for post-booking management.
Hess told BTN that she is eager to return
to her agency roots with a publicly traded company and a global enterprise. "CTM
is such a well-run company and has proven its financial stability even in these
challenging times," she said. "I'm excited about organic and other growth opportunities [in
the] post-Covid era."
Meanwhile, Michael

Rising to
the position from his previous role as the company's senior director of business
