Industry veteran Susan Lichtenstein signs on as Kayak for Business senior director of strategic growth
Corporate travel industry veteran Susan Lichtenstein has joined Kayak for Business as its senior director of strategic growth, a new position for the platform, Kayak announced.
Lichtenstein, who started at Kayak for Business on Monday, most recently was VP of sales for mobility platform and ground transportation platform provider HQ, a role she left last month after about three and a half years with the company. Prior to that, she co-founded consulting firm DigiTravel, which later merged with Partnership Travel Consulting, and she managed the travel program at Cisco for a decade, earning Travel Manager of the Year honors from BTN in 2009.
In her new role, Lichtenstein will "help to define and amplify [Kayak for Business'] strategic narrative in the market, support global expansion initiatives and accelerate enterprise and SMB revenue growth," according to a Kayak spokesperson. She is working with Kayak for Business head of commercial Florian Mueller to position the platform—which targets small and midsized clients via a free and premium offering as well as an enterprise offering that incorporates BlockSkye technology and was developed through collaboration with client PwC U.S.—as a "category leader," according to the spokesperson.
