In Europe this year, air traffic control strikes
have caused more than 3,000 canceled flights and 1 million minutes of flight delays,
according to the International Air Transport Association. Those estimates
include an ongoing air traffic control strike in France, which will cause the
cancellation of at least 15 percent of flights out of Paris on Thursday.
