Direct Travel has promoted EVP of customer experience Christine Sikes to chief operating officer, effective immediately, the travel management company announced Wednesday.
Sikes, who reports to Direct Travel CEO Christal Bemont, in her new role will be responsible for "execution of service, delivering efficiency at scale and helping to drive profitable growth through company transformation initiatives," according to the company.
Sikes has been with Direct Travel since 2014, and remained with the company after a group of investors led by corporate travel industry entrepreneur and Concur co-founder Steve Singh acquired it in 2024. Her 35 years in the industry also includes stints at CWT SatoTravel, CWT and Navigant International, according to her LinkedIn page.
