Direct Travel has expanded the availability of its Avenir travel platform to ATPI's specialty divisions, including its Energy, Marine and Mining divisions, the travel management company announced.
The TMC launched the Avenir platform, which combines Spotnana's technology and infrastructure with Direct Travel's service offerings, in the U.S. last year and soon expanded availability in Europe and the U.K., with servicing from its joint business with U.K.-based ATPI, which Direct Travel acquired last September. With the expansion to the specialty divisions, companies in those sectors can manage both executive and project-based travel across a single platform and service model, the TMC said.
"As travel becomes more complex, that foundation becomes even more important," Direct Travel CEO Christal Bemont said in a statement. "Avenir is an important step forward, giving our customers a more consistent approach to global business travel, combined with the specialized solutions they rely on to support their operations."
ATPI's specialty solutions manage specific complex needs in each of the segments, such as crew movements and vessel rotations in its Marine division and managing remote workforce operations and mobility for mining clients.
Direct Travel earlier this year announced global rollout plans for Avenir Travel Edition.
