By providing more data feeds into Concur Risk Messaging and by
partnering with international insurance and medical assistance firm HX Global,
the T&E management provider is poised to compete more with full-service
travel risk management providers. The updated Concur Risk Messaging platform will
launch this summer.
Concur Risk Messaging, which already captures travel
management company and Concur Travel data to identify travelers' locations, also
will take in data from Concur Expense, TripLink and TripIt, as well as supplier
e-receipts. The new data sets will enhance the traveler-location maps Concur
Risk Messaging provides to travel managers. "Our data set extends beyond
traditionally booked travel itineraries, maximizing visibility and empowering
businesses to take action in these situations," Concur president Mike
Eberhard said.
Concur's new partnership with HX Global, meanwhile, will
make 24/7 medical and security assistance available for a fee. Labeled Concur
Active Monitoring, it also will serve as another data feed into Concur Risk
Messaging.
Additionally, while Concur Risk Messaging already enables travel
managers to contact travelers through two-way text messaging, email and phone,
the update will enable messaging through Concur Mobile, as well.
Ultimately,
Concur Risk Messaging will integrate into the Concur Travel & Expense
dashboard, which also will include a new user interface, a spokesperson said.
