BCD Travel plans to pursue more federal agencies. The travel management company hired a director of business development dedicated to government services and is bringing in specialized travel agents to support additional government clients. It also invested in an informational website for government clients and will leverage its trip management platform TripSource and analytics and reporting platform DecisionSource. Government clients are underserved by existing providers, said North America SVP Tracy Maier, who oversees government clients for BCD. "We continually reevaluate the marketplace for opportunities, and we think we are now well positioned to compete for the government services market." The dominant TMC in the federal agency market is Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
