Guest travel platform Empath Travel & Expense has partnered with BCD Travel to offer a "turnkey solution" for guest travel management through the BCD Marketplace, the companies announced.
With the BCD partnership, Empath—which launched last summer—said it will be able to be implemented with "minimal time and resources" for BCD customers. Users will be able to apply negotiated discounts to bookings made through the Empath platform, and guest travel data is integrated into BCD DecisionSource for reporting. Users also will receive support from BCD consultants for bookings made on the platform.
"The demand for managing guest and non-profiled travel continues to grow, and we’re committed to delivering best-in-class solutions that meet our customers’ evolving needs," BCD Travel SVP of product planning and development Yannis Karmis said in a statement. "Our partnership with Empath, the addition of their solution into the BCD Marketplace and their commitment to integrate with our technology enable us to deliver powerful, automated solutions that simplify a complex process and create real value."
Empath added that its specialized workflows for life sciences and entertainment, sports and media travel were a "natural alignment" with BCD.
