Hackers gained access to nearly 400,000 passengers' credit card information during a two-week breach of British Airways' website and mobile app. The breach affected bookings made between 10:58 p.m. on Aug. 21 and 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 5, British Summer Time, according to BA. Names, addresses and bank card details were at risk during the breach, but passport and travel details were not affected. BA has contacted affected customers by email and is advising them to check with their banks as to whether to cancel their cards. The carrier has pledged to cover any financial losses a customer experiences due to the data theft.
