American Express Global Business Travel will integrate
Lyft's platform and data into the travel management company's offerings.
Initially, the partnership gives Amex GBT clients simplified sign-up for Lyft
Business and "negotiated business travel incentives/rewards and partner
rewards provided by Lyft," according to the TMC. Those rewards include
incentives for first-time riders and promotions based on a company's market,
vertical or special events, according to an Amex GBT spokesperson.
In addition, Amex GBT promises greater data visibility via
"a comprehensive set of [key performance indicators] and data sets." Travel
managers also will be able to segment Lyft bookings into such metrics as length
of trip and type of car used to better understand how their travelers are using
the service, according to the spokesperson. Amex GBT will complete integrations
with its mobile app and its travel disruption and risk management platform,
Expert Care, this year.
Last November, Lyft announced its first TMC partnership, with Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
