American Express Global Business Travel has launched the "next-gen" version of its Egencia platform, which incorporates a conversational AI assistant and integration with Concur Expense.
The refreshed Egencia, which Amex GBT announced last year, includes the addition of Egencia AI, an AI assistant to which travelers can ask conversational questions to book and manage travel. The AI assistant operates within existing communication tools, including Microsoft Teams, according to Amex GBT.
The new version also includes a native integration with Concur Expense, which Amex GBT said is the first non-SAP solution to have that level of integration with Concur. With the integration, travel bookings and receipts are moved to expense reports nearly immediately. Amex GBT and Concur announced the integration plans when they announced their strategic partnership, Complete, last fall.
In addition, Egencia updated its user experience in the new version, including a simplified search form and the ability to display multiple fares per flight, the company said.
In a statement, Amex GBT chief product and strategy officer Evan Konwiser said the work with Egencia will "fuel innovation and learnings that will benefit all of our solutions including Complete and Neo."
