Wyndham Hotels & Resorts on Sept. 15 will add a redemption tier to its Wyndham Rewards loyalty program and lower the threshold required for a complimentary room night, the company announced this week.
The new redemption tiers are priced at 5,000, 15,000, 30,000 and 45,000 points per bedroom, per night. The outgoing three-tier structure, which has been in place since 2019, started at 7,500 points and topped out at 30,000. The change lowers the entry point for a free night by 2,500 points and adds a new top tier.
Wyndham properties are assigned redemption tiers based on hotel brand and type of property. Hotels will also be redistributed across all four tiers as part of the change.
"Our program has evolved significantly since we first introduced three fixed redemption tiers," Wyndham Rewards said on its website. "In that time, we've added hundreds of luxury, lifestyle, and all-inclusive hotels. These changes reflect that growth while staying true to what we know members value most."
The company stated it has no plans to introduce dynamic pricing or seasonal rate increases, maintaining the program's fixed redemption structure. Bookings made with points before Sept. 15 will be honored at current rates.
