WorldHotels Collection, a group of 300 global independent
hotels and resorts, has appointed Gregory Habeeb as North America president and
has promoted Melissa Gan to Asia/Pacific managing director. APAC president Roland
Jegge will continue in his role. Habeeb spent the past six years as global VP
of hotel and hospitality for luxury fragrance and personal care retailer Molton
Brown. He previously worked for WorldHotels as VP of hotel development. In his
new role, he will grow the WorldHotels brand in North America, focusing on its
Luxury and Elite collections. Gan joined WorldHotels in 2005 and has helped
grow it across APAC, serving most recently as Asia/Pacific VP of performance and revenue optimization. In her new and expanded role, she will oversee the
day-to-day operations in that region, focusing particularly on member
performance and revenue management. Best Western acquired
WorldHotels in February.
