WoodSpring Hotels and West 77 Partners have
agreed to develop as many as 25 extended-stay properties in Greater San
Francisco. WoodSpring changed
its name from Value Place in April 2015, keeping the Value Place brand but
also launching its WoodSpring Suites brand. At the time, CEO Bruce Haase said the
new company name and new brand would allow the company to get into higher value
markets. WoodSpring already has another agreement with West 77 to construct
multiple hotels in Washington and the San Francisco area. The first is set to
open this year in Everett, Wash.
