Omni Hotels & Resorts chief marketing officer & SVP
of sales Peter Strebel is now president of the company. He takes over the
position from Jim Caldwell, who had been president and CEO for the past year
and simply CEO since 2004. Additionally, Caldwell is president of Omni parent
company TRT Holdings. It remains to be seen whether Caldwell or someone else
will be Omni CEO.

1991-1996: Serves as general counsel & VP for TRT Holdings
& as president of a TRT real estate subsidiary & another subsidiary
1996-2004: Named president of Omni when TRT acquires the
hotel company
2004-2017: Promoted to CEO of Omni & to president of TRT
2017-2018: Omni president title added to his duties when
Mike Deitemeyer, another TRT transplant, leaves to become president & CEO
of Interstate Hotels & Resorts
2018: Relinquishes role of Omni president to Strebel; the
Omni CEO role remains unclear
