Nearly 250 hotels throughout Los Angeles have volunteered their properties as temporary shelter to support the region's response to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to the Hotel Association of Los Angeles. More than 20,000 are available, up from the 10,000 announced March 27. The temporary shelter will available be for quarantine, homeless individuals, victims of domestic violence, elderly populations and medical professionals.
