Just three months after the Kempinski Group's new CEO took over, the company plans to grow from operating 79 hotels today to more than 100 by 2021. Over the next 12 months, Kempinski plans to open nine hotels totaling 1,961 rooms; three of the properties will be in the Caribbean, and one will open in each Tel Aviv; Tbilisi, Georgia; Bangkok; Guangzhou, China; Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo; and Almaty, Kazakhstan. An additional seven hotels with 2,404 rooms are under construction. Kempinksi also signed a strategic partnership deal this week with 12.18. Investment Management, which will develop and open 20 7Pines Kempinski hotels through 2022, including the company's first property in New York City.
