Hilton Worldwide will add 125 new Hampton by
Hilton hotels in India through an agreement with an Indian developer, the
company announced.
Hilton has formed a strategic agreement with
Regenta Hotels Private Ltd., which is owned by Bengaluru, India-based Royal
Orchid Hotels Ltd., to sign and open the Hampton by Hilton properties. The new
hotels will operate under a franchise model and be developed across western and
southern markets, including Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra
Pradesh and Telangana.
"India’s economic growth, expanding
middle class and rapid infrastructure development are reshaping the country’s
travel landscape, creating significant opportunities for our brands,"
Hilton's Asia Pacific president Alan Watts said in a media statement.
The partnership marks Hilton's third strategic
agreement with local operators in India—it added 75 Hampton by Hilton
properties through a 2025 deal with Nile Hospitality and launched 150 Spark
hotels through a 2024 partnership with Olive by Embassy.
Hilton EVP and chief development officer
Christian Charnaux said India "remains a strategic long-term growth market
for Hilton."
Hampton by Hilton boasts the company's largest
number of properties across its 27-brand portfolio. The 125 new hotels in India
will join more than 3,100 Hampton by Hilton properties trading globally.
