Hilton and American Express are contributing $1 million to provide free prepared meals to the Covid-19 frontline healthcare professionals staying at Hilton properties participating in its free hotel room program. The contribution is through American Express to World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit organization that provides meals to communities in the wake of natural disasters. The organization will work with local restaurants to provide meals, and the donation will enable it to cover both the price of the ingredients and the wages for the restaurant employees who may have previously been unemployed.
