Similar to other major hotel companies, Extended Stay America has introduced a health and safety initiative, dubbed "Stay Confident." The company is installing transparent shields at front desks, providing protective equipment to staff, temporarily closing social and communal areas, increasing no-contact interactions between guests and staff, and promoting social distancing on property, with training for all staff.
ESA also has partnered with Procter & Gamble for cleaning and disinfectant supplies and has increased the frequency and depth of its cleanings. A member of the management team inspects each room before it is released for check-in. Guests also can receive additional towels and linens without having a housekeeper enter the room.
