BridgeStreet Introduces 'Aparthotel' Brand

Serviced-apartments provider BridgeStreet Global Hospitality has introduced a new brand, Mode Aparthotel by BridgeStreet, in response to shifting travel trends. Mode will promote social, experiential travel in urban centers. Its first location is slated for a five-story office building on Dupont Circle in Washington, D.C. The property, scheduled to open in the fall, will host 46 apartments, a bar and restaurant, workout facilities and a rooftop lounge. A second location is being developed in an historical building in Paris’s 16th Arrondissement and will feature 47 units, a breakfast room, a guest lounge and a fitness center. It will open during the third quarter. BridgeStreet also entered into a joint development agreement with CGI to develop five to 10 dedicated Mode properties in the United States.
