Barron Hilton—retired chairman, president and CEO of Hilton Hotels Corp.—died of natural causes at his Los Angeles home on Thursday. He was 91. Hilton, who also was chairman emeritus of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, had been inducted into the BTN Group's Business Travel Hall of Fame in 2017. He succeeded his father, Conrad Hilton, at Hilton Hotels in 1966 and greatly expanded the business. He ran Hilton for 30 years, during which time he became known for his innovative real estate transactions, including franchising and a move into the Las Vegas gaming market. Today, Hilton remains one of the largest hotel companies in the industry and a key supplier for the business travel market.
