Etihad Airways will add four weekly flights
between Abu Dhabi International Airport and New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport for the winter
season, with service set to begin Nov. 15, the carrier announced Monday. The
additions will bring to 11 the airline’s total weekly nonstop flights between
the two airports.
The carrier plans to operate the seasonal flights on
Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
aircraft, while existing daily services will continue on Airbus A350 aircraft,
which was deployed in June, according to Etihad. The carrier has not yet set an
end date for the seasonal service, according to a spokesperson.
