Located at the base of Heavenly Mountain's main gondola, across the busy boulevard from the lake, and a three-minute walk to the California-Nevada border and Harrah's Casino, this hotel/time-share resort is pricey, but persistent maintenance and a heftier amenity roster than most of the hotels in the area make it a solid choice, especially for families seeking out lots of leg room and a big year-round pool and hot tub.
