Location and History
This seven-story structure with a boxy 1980s form blends in nicely with the neighborhood's restored cotton warehouses. Its location on the river disguises its size—this is the second largest hotel in Savannah—although once inside arrivals will find proportions aimed at large groups and gatherings. The classic Portman Atrium is a vast hall that has been toned down with a number of renovations over the years.
