Location and History

Opened in 1910, this Left Bank hotel was built by the founders of Le Bon Marche department store. It has hosted diplomats and high society across the decades and even welcomed Paris' creative brigade. In fact, James Joyce is believed to have penned part of the novel Ulysses here. Other well-known guests include Antoine de St. Exupery, Jean-Paul Sartre and Pablo Picasso.
