In between Gran Via and Puerta del Sol, this hotel, the first Thompson to open in Europe, sits on a busy square, Plaza del Carmen, where the renovation works have finally finished making this a lively square worth enjoying. Up the street is the bustling Gran Via. In the other direction, tourist alleyways lead to Puerta del Sol and the Plaza Mayor; a few more minutes walking, and you are in the famous Golden Triangle of Art.
