Location and History
An hour outside of London between Hook and Basingstoke, 27 miles southwest of Heathrow, on 500 acres of garden and woodland, this three-story 18th-century Georgian manor house is set amid an expanse of the rolling hills of Dogmersfield Park, first mentioned in the Domesday book of 1086, and the site where Henry VIII first met Catherine of Aragon. Fans of Downtown Abbey should know that the show was filmed at Highclere Castle, not far away.
