Location and History
Built in 1914 by the Canadian Pacific Railway, the Fairmont Palliser is one of a series of grand hotels built to host travelers who were hopscotching along the scenic route through the Rocky Mountains.
When it opened, the stately sandstone building offered the latest features, many of which, such as letter chutes in the hallways, have been retained.
