Location and History
Overlooking Syntagma Square and the Greek Parliament, this luxury hotel is in the heart of the city. Opened in 2004, it is a reincarnation of the original structure, built on this site in 1936.
It is part of Marriott's Luxury Collection, just like its more famous sibling Grande Bretagne next door. While that is where visiting dignitaries and celebrities have stayed for years, King George is starting to earn some of that business.
