Location and History
This hotel, its restaurant and pub all have a long, illustrious history dating back to 1870. Most famously, the property is the birthplace of Heineken beer. Its history as a brewery actually goes all the way back to 1586, which can be explored on the display walls near reception tracing the property's roots. It culminates in the recently bestowed honor of bearing the Royal Coat of Arms, a Royal Warrant decree created by the former king more than a century ago....
