The average daily rate at U.S. hotels in February increased 4.7 percent year over year to $116.55,
according to STR. U.S. hotel occupancy for the month increased 3.2 percent to 62.3 percent, the highest recorded occupancy rate for a February, STR senior vice president of operations Bobby Bowers said. In Phoenix, ADR increased 12.9 percent year over year to $153.66, the largest percentage increase among the nation’s top 25 markets. Only two of the top 25 markets had ADR decreases: New York (4.5 percent to $197.42) and Norfolk/Virginia Beach (0.4 percent to $69.20).
